Years at New Morning: 2025 is my first official year, but I was a parent sub a few times over the 2024 school year.
Favorite part of your New Morning day: My favorite part is that every day is different! Kids are unpredictable and so fun, which makes a preschool just about the least monotonous place to be.
Favorite color: Green
Favorite season: Fall
Favorite food: Seafood! Shrimp, salmon, ahi, oysters…I love it all. Also, potatoes.
Favorite music: Bluegrass, folk, and (of course) Taylor Swift
Hobbies: Baking, reading, trying to garden
What relaxes you: Having an organized/decluttered space and a good book.
What makes you laugh: New Girl, The Office, SNL, my daughter, dogs.
What you want to do when you grow up: Teaching is what I always wanted to do, but being a professional baker would be so fun!
Flying or invisibility: Invisibility – I’m not a heights/thrill seeking kind of person.
Anything else to share: I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and was a preschool teacher before the birth of my daughter in 2021. As a teacher, I moved with my cohort of children from infancy, to the toddler room, to the preschool room, so I have experience with all young age groups!
I’m so excited to be back in a classroom setting at New Morning.
