Please refer to our Program Description and Tuition Schedule for more information.

The online enrollment form for all families will open for application on January 7 at 7 AM and priority ranking for current families will end on January 16 at 10 PM. On January 7 at 7 AM you will receive an email that will contain the link to fill out the application form. Any applications received after 10 PM on January 16th will be processed with new family applications.

Online pre-enrollment folder here.

An Open House is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, 9-11 am. Individual tours may be scheduled after the Open House by calling or emailing the office.

NEW FAMILIES interested in enrolling should call or email the office to be put on an email list of prospective families. New family applications will be ranked in the order that they are received. Once the office has received your application form you will be sent an email to pay the application fee online. Your application is considered complete after the application fee has been received. You will need to fill out one application per child you wish to enroll. New families are encouraged to submit their application forms as soon as possible on 1/7/26.

RETURNING FAMILIES will receive application process in January.  Applications will not be considered unless accompanied by a non-refundable application fee.  Applications will not be accepted from families who have an outstanding tuition balance of two or more months unless prior arrangements have been made with the director.  Refer to your Family Handbook for more enrollment information.

PLACEMENT – We will not discriminate against any enrolled child, family or applicant for enrollment, on the basis of race, sex, disability, age, or national origin.  Our policies are designed to balance the needs of individual children and their families with the needs of the class as a whole.  Procedures are aimed at creating an equitable method of application, acceptance, and enrollment.  There is no potty training requirement for any of our classes.

Applications will be processed in the following order:

  1. Children of staff
  2. Children currently enrolled in the school
  3. Siblings of current students
  4. Former families who left New Morning and wish to return
  5. Families who applied last year but never received a placement
  6. Children of families applying for the first time

In addition, consideration is given to:

  • Number of years a family has been enrolled in the school
  • Parent membership on the board
  • Families who are enrolling more than one child with the same schedule
  • Balance of peers within a group

If several applicants of identical standing are applying for the same space, placement will be done by a lottery.  If a child does not get a first choice they will be placed according to their second or third choice.  Once all spots are offered the remaining applicants will be placed on waiting lists corresponding to their preferences, in the order in which the applications were received.

CONFIRMATION of placement and an enrollment contract will be sent to returning families by January 26, 2026 and to new families by February 4, 2026. Notifications of placements will be made by email. Contracts will be sent to you through Procare and you will need to follow directions to sign the contract through the Procare app. If you would like a paper contract mailed to you, please let the director know. In order to guarantee your child’s placement, the first of ten tuition payments must be paid in Procare by February 4, 2026. New family payments must be made in Procare within five days of receipt of confirmation. This payment is not refundable or transferable for any reason. Currently enrolled families who experience difficulty making this payment can make arrangements for a more comfortable payment plan with the director. If the first payment or payment arrangements have not been made by the deadline, the child will be removed from the class and placed on the waiting list.

WAITING LISTS are formed once all spots in a class have been offered. The first tuition payment is due when a child on the waiting list receives confirmation of placement.

MID-YEAR ENROLLMENT occurs if space is available. Once the school year begins, parents should check with the director to see what classes have openings.  Tuition is then prorated according to the number of months remaining in the school year.

SCHOLARSHIPS are available. Applications for tuition assistance are available to be emailed when requested. The goal of the scholarship fund at New Morning is to provide children whose families cannot afford to pay the full tuition an opportunity to attend the school. Awards are based on financial need, availability of space and funds. Applying for a scholarship will not affect an applicant’s placement during the registration process. Returning families who are currently receiving scholarships should reapply every year with a separate application for each child. Every effort will be made to continue to support a currently enrolled child, however scholarship rollover can not be guaranteed. Once a family has received tuition assistance and continues to show financial need, priority will be given to previously supported students.

4K AT NEW MORNING NURSERY SCHOOL is in conjunction with MMSD. If your child is four by 9/1/2026 you may also apply to Madison Metropolitan Schools to receive free 4K five days a week for 2.5 hours a day. More information about this process is available in the document entitled “4K Information 2026-2027”.
