Your support means so much to us. And to families who may not otherwise be able to attend New Morning due to financial hardship, it means everything. Donations from families like you go toward our Future Fund, a reserve created by the board of directors to ensure the means would always be available to those wishing to attend New Morning. Each year, an amount equal to 2% of the annual budgeted tuition is available for scholarships, in accordance with the written policy.
In addition to scholarships, the Future Fund allows us to offer tuition assistance, undertake program improvements, and offset unforeseen expenses. Read more about the Future Fund here.
You may be wondering, what happens to my tuition? And that’s a great question. Tuition covers annual operating expenses including staff salaries and benefits; rent; classroom materials; insurance; and miscellaneous expenses such as accounting, publicity, accreditation and licensing, printing, and phone and internet services.
Growing Bright Futures – Maple Room addition
Beginning this Fall, our beloved school is expanding with the addition of a new classroom we’re calling the Maple room! Our current fundraising campaign, Growing Bright Futures, will ensure that students in the Maple room experience the same nurturing environment as our Willow, Birch, and Oak rooms. Your generosity will allow us to build out and furnish the new classroom, stock up on instructional materials, and put down roots for a new grove of learners for years to come.
To honor those who help us expand our school and our community, we are planning a plaque for the Maple room showcasing donor names at four levels:
“Roots” (up to $249),
“Shoots” ($250-499),
“Leaves” ($500-999),
and “Canopy” ($1000+).
